Privacy Policy

1. 1. Overview

AI Bible Coach ("we", "us", "our") is committed to your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. In short: we collect only what is necessary to provide the service, we self-host our AI so your conversations never leave our infrastructure, and we never sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing.

2. 2. Data We Collect

• Account data: Name, email address, and authentication credentials managed by Clerk. We store a reference to your Clerk user ID in our database.
• Subscription data: Subscription tier and status managed by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status. We never store full credit card numbers.
• Conversation data: Your chat messages and AI responses. These are stored in our PostgreSQL database on our own servers to enable conversation history and continuity.
• Usage data: Basic usage metrics (number of messages, features used) to understand how the service is used and improve it.
• Community fund applications: Name, email, and the situation description you provide when applying for a covered seat.

3. 3. The AI — Self-Hosted

Our AI (powered by Ollama) runs on our own Virtual Private Server. Your conversations are not sent to OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or any third-party AI provider. They stay within our infrastructure and are processed by a model we host and control.

4. 4. How We Use Your Data

• To provide, maintain, and improve the service
• To manage your subscription and process payments
• To display your conversation history
• To manage the community fund and covered seat applications
• To send transactional emails (account creation, subscription receipts, covered seat status)

5. 5. What We Don't Do

• We do not sell your personal data
• We do not share your conversations with third parties
• We do not use your data to train AI models
• We do not serve ads

6. 6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Clerk Authentication and user management
• Stripe Payment processing and subscription management
• Cloudflare DNS, CDN, and DDoS protection

7. 7. Data Retention

Conversation history is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is deleted within 30 days. Covered seat application data is deleted 90 days after the application is closed.

8. 8. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing us at privacy@aibiblecoach.com. We will respond within 30 days.

9. 9. Children

AI Bible Coach is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
