Accessibility
Built for Everyone
Scripture belongs to everyone — including people with visual disabilities, low vision, or reading difficulties. This page describes the accessibility features built into AI Bible Coach and how to use them.
Read Aloud (Text-to-Speech)
Every verse in the Bible reader can be read aloud using your device's built-in speech engine — free, no account required.
- → On desktop: hover over any verse to reveal the speaker icon, then click it
- → On mobile: tap the speaker icon next to any verse
- → Click again to stop reading
- → Works in all supported languages
Text Size Controls
Adjust the size of Bible text to what is comfortable for you — four sizes available, saved automatically so it persists next time you visit.
- → In the Bible reader toolbar, use the A / A / A / A buttons to increase or decrease text size
- → In the Accessibility Toolbar (bottom-left of every page), use the A− and A+ buttons for site-wide font scaling from 80% to 160%
- → Your preference is saved and restored on every visit
High Contrast Mode
Increases text contrast across the site for users with low vision or contrast sensitivity.
- → Toggle in the Accessibility Toolbar (bottom-left corner of every page)
- → Setting is saved automatically
Screen Reader Support
The site is built with semantic HTML and ARIA labels throughout. Every interactive element — notes, share, TTS, and AI buttons — has a descriptive label readable by screen readers.
- → Skip to main content link is the first focusable element on every page — press Tab once after loading
- → All buttons announce their action (e.g. “Read John 3:16 aloud”, “Take notes on John 3:16”)
- → Tested with VoiceOver (macOS/iOS) and intent to support NVDA/JAWS
Multi-Language Support
The full platform is available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German and more. The AI responds in your language. Read-aloud uses your language's voice automatically.
